Silver Hill Farm
Founded in 1962 by Ronnie and Lyla Steele in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, Silver Hill Farm is a fully integrated duck producing company that has achieved tremendous success in both domestic and overseas markets. Our distinctive hybrid duck has been continually developed over the years, to produce a duck that is full of flavour, succulent, tender and consistent in its quality. All aspects of our duck production are owned and controlled by Silver Hill Farm, from breeding, egg production, hatching and selection, to processing, cooking and packaging.
At 70% export led, we currently supply over 30 countries worldwide. Regarded as the ‘Best Duck in The World’ by our customers, the Asian market is now rapidly growing for Silver Hill and we currently export 5,000 ducks a week across more than 20 high end restaurants in Singapore. Whilst continued focus on the domestic retail market, which has quadrupled in Ireland in recent years, has cemented Silver Hill as the fastest growing product in the poultry category in Ireland & the UK.
We have a range of fresh and cooked products that are in all retailers across Ireland. We sell our fresh whole duck, legs, fillets which can be purchased plain or marinated. Our cooked products such as crispy duck and pancakes is a favourite amongst kids and adults alike. Our confit duck legs are slow cooked with a hint of garlic and black pepper which makes a delicious 5-star meal. Another product in the convenience range are the honey roast duck perfect with an orange sauce.
