Andy's Bar and Restaurant
Andy’s is truly a family run business. Established in 1983 by Ciaran Redmond, today his daughter and two sons run the business.
Aisling manages the restaurant and is responsible for producing all the homemade desserts including her specialty the “Dessert Sharing Platter.”
Sean runs the kitchen and specializes in aging and butchering the best beef in the region.
Kevin’s ever-increasing gin collection has captured the attention of the national press with recent reviews in the Sunday Mirror, Daily Mail, and the Sunday World.
Andy’s was recently recognised by University College Cork as the second oldest family run restaurant in Ireland.
Andy’s signature dishes include Garlic Monaghan Mushroom, our 35-day dry aged beef, and our best selling dish Chicken Monaghan – a breaded chicken fillet served with a tangy mushroom & onion sauce, which was created by accident and adding a now certain special ingredient! As travel website GoIreland.com commented on its review of Andy’s: “Probably the most consistently awarded food & drinks emporium in Ireland”
